I've been trying to plan a trip to visit my Grandma since Cecelia was born. Too many things got in the way, until this past weekend. Even then it still almost didn't happen. The kids knew Mama was up to something so of course they slept terrible the night before. Woke up, my eye was completely swollen shut and red, I thought "CRAP! Do I have pink eye?!" After my shower it was better and I chalked it up to a hair irritated it. Got things ready, went out to load the car, rammed my head into the truck door, Cecelia scratched herself, O got nibbled on by the dog. Terrible, horrible morning! We left pretty much on time, surprisingly! Picked up Auntie Carrie. I was making good time, reached Satsop, WA by 10am. 10:10 to be exact, right when I got pulled over. I was speeding. And for the first time since I got my license four and half years ago, I was caught! He wrote the ticket for only 10 over, even though I was going 20 over. His way of cutting me a break since it was my first offense. Still bummed! That's $113 I was planning on using other ways, but whatever. "you do the crime, you pay the time." About an hour later we arrived at Grandma's House. She got to cuddle the babies, we talked and caught up on life's events.

Then it was time to take the littles to the big blue.
Oliver absolutely LOVED the Ocean. I'm sure if we could of he would have played for hours and hours. He threw a fit when it was time to go, of course. Cecelia fell asleep on the 3 minute drive to the beach. I didn't want to wake her to put her toes in the Ocean. Next time, she will probably be big enough to play in the water. I'm already looking forward to next summer.
We headed to Auntie's after playing. Had some dinner, talked and caught up. Played with the kids, we left around 8pm. I pulled into our "driveway" just a little after 11pm. LONG LONG LONG day but I'm glad we went. It was stressful that's for sure, but we did have fun.
and for good measure, Cecelia got her very first iphone photo taken.. she's so stinkin' cute!
