I've made, started, began and tried to blog regularly over the past 4 years. I used to be very diligent about posting daily. But then... life got in the way. Days would turn into weeks and months which of course turned into years. I actually made this blog in 2009. It had 19 posts. I decided to delete them and give this one another go. Miss Pockets has been the name I've been using for the past couple of years on Flickr and Twitter. It seemed most appropriate to blog under that alias as well. (Crap.. I used about 6 lines to describe just about nothing. That tends to happen...)
I miss the therapeutic aspects of blogging. I still paper journal regularly, documenting my day to day life. I've never had many followers in the blogging world. I'm not sure if the words I have typed in the past reached out and touched anyone. That wasn't why I started and that isn't why I am now. I want this blog to be for me. My outlet. I'll prolly bitch about life, kids, job, sickness and a whole slue of other bs. Which truthfully I don't think many people will find that entertaining but I promise from this very "first" post to remain honest and me. Me actually being my real name of Lacye. (Yes, the E is at the end. And yes that's how it's supposed to be spelled. Oh and if you'd like I can show you my birth certificate. It's not a mistake. (This is why my kids have the traditional spelling of their names) Also it's pronounced Lay - SEE. Just in case you were wondering.) ha.
The only thing I'd like to differently than in the past is I want to incorporate features, not sure exactly what yet but I think that will liven things up a bit from my regular rambley daily posts. I am going to try to post daily, that way it becomes habit. Hopefully this can also become a nice dumping ground for the millions of photos I take of my kids! I'd really like to start photographing other subjects as well. We'll see. I tend to get ahead of myself.
